    If your income is low enough, you may qualify for welfare, and even if you don't get cash or food stamps they have medical programs you may be able to enroll your child in.

    If you type "charity orthodontics" into Google with your hometown, you may also find other programs or schools in your area that are there to help. Smiles Change Lives is a nationwide one that can help if you earn any less than the federal poverty level for your area, which is sometimes a higher cut-off than welfare. Many schools will allow students about to begin their internships to work on patients under the teacher's supervision, and you can get braces for very little cost.
