    Violation probation
    I have a friend that was on probation for a drug charge and manufacturing and violated by trying to commit suicide he was on probation for 10 yrs and his sentence is 30% of 10 he his a first time offender.How long will he really have to do if he does right while incarcerated?

    Hello m:

    There's no way to tell. I appreciate your trying to give me enough salient factors, but there a lot more that goes into the decision..

    But be aware, that the time he spent on probation DOES NOT count toward his sentence... That means he can be kept for the entire 10 years...

    If you can, I'd hire a lawyer for him.
