John Deere JX75 starting problems after cleaning carb
I had the engine revving up and down at idle and the throttle linkage cable was moving back and forth by itself (nothing disconnected) so I decided to take the carburetor off and give it a cleaning. Using carb cleaner spray with a straw, I sprayed in every port visible and air-dried it. I removed the screw (with spring) from the bowl, cleaned it and screwed it back in just snug. The gasket for the bowl and the two carb gaskets looked fine, so I didn't remove them (just wiped them down and reinstalled the carb). The carb and bowl weren't really dirty, even after 11 years. Air filter is clean and I put some gas (purchased a week ago) in the tank. The tank had just a tiny bit of old gas in it. Now, after cleaning the carb, it won't start. If I use starting fluid, it'll run for a second or two. I loosened the screw (w/spring) on the bowl and gas dripped out, so I know the bowl is getting gas. One thing I noticed, is the vent tube wouldn't accept any spray cleaner... it would spit out out back at me instead of going through, but it ran before. Now it won't even start. Also, I noticed a difference between the two linkages on the carb that rotate the discs that open and close. The linkage closest to the engine turns/rotates easily, but the linkage closest to the air filter is very hard to rotate. Not sure if that is normal or not. What does anyone suggest now? Thanks very much.

Below the idle screw there's a screw going down, this is the air mixture screw take it out and run a wire through the bottom.
Remove carb bowl and run a wire through the main jet .
Going up .on the side of the main jet tube there's a little jet make sure its open.
    Luck
