    Wall standpipe drain system
My washer is hooked up to a wall standpipe drain system in my basement. When washing clothes today water started shooting out from the cold water valve - water is coming from where you connect the hose right under the valve. I turned the valve to the right which stopped the water from shooting out. Is telling me the hose needs to be replaced? Thanks

    HI Gloriam

It sure sounds like the hose needs to be replaced.

At this time, I'd suggest that you replace both washing machine hoses and install new BRAIDED STAINLESS STEEL HOSES for best long term results, OK?

    Good luck...
