Child support arrears and criminal in Kentucky
My son's father is over $30,000 in arrears in child support in Kentucky. They just recently enforced the order about a year ago, that was ordered in 2001. They initially were garnishing his wages after 10 years, and now, I haven't received anything. I live in Indiana, and my caseworker here has tried contacting Kentucky to find out what is going on and if they are going to take him back to court for contempt of the order. However, they are not being cooperative and are ignoring her calls. Is there anything I can do on my end to start the child support again. As far as I'm concerned if he isn't paying, according to state law, he should be in jail? Correct?
