    200 Amp service
I have a 200 amp service at my house. I need to run 240Volts to a sub panel about 250 feet from the main panel.

Questions: My main panel is 200 Amps and full. Can I still put in a sub panel and run a 120Volt 40 amp circuit to a trailer and a possible 40 amp circuit to a hot tub with out blowing out the main 200amp breaker?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Depends on the existing connected load, and how much load is used at one time.

Give me the total square footage of livable space, not including any garage, attic, crawlspace, porches. Also a list of all major electric appliances, type of heat, size of air conditioning, and wattage or amps of proposed load, and I can do the connected load calculations. How many occupants are in the home?

250 foot run is very long, and may need fairly large wire, depending on the load it will feed. What is the total wattage or amps the new load will be?
