    Indict or release
My son has been in Cobb County jail for almost 6 months for financial card fraud. The only court appearance he has had was his bond hearing. He was appointed a public defender but can't get a return call from him. Does indict or release apply here? If not, what can I do to expedite his release?

You can pay his bail to get him out on bail.

It can take up to a year, sometimes year and half to get a actual trial. He would have also had a first appearance, the morning after he was arrested, where he was formally charged. He is not given bail till he is charged.
