Will a court postpone or waive child support?
Is it possible for me to request that the court (in Tennessee) give me relief of child support for a brief period (3-6 months) to allow myself time to get on my feet? Also, What can I do about securing the ownership of my vehicle from being seized by the courts as it is the means for me to commute back and forth to work?

    Thank you.

They will not stop it from being owed. What you can do is have the amount reviewed and set according to your current pay. They will not and do not care if you can have a place to live or if you have to live in your car.

If the court takes your car for non payment, * but this is almost never done for child support that I have ever seen. But there is no way to protect it.

TN ( and I have dealt with them) will put you in jail very quickly for getting behind in support, so expect that before they do much else.
