    Toyota engine code 22?
    Have 93 Toyota 22re engine code 22 water temp sensor replaced sensor still misses when check engine light comes on may run good for one day miss next day. When check engine comes on engine misses, go off runs good till light comes on.

    That will make it run like doo doo. Open or short in the ECT sensor. Code 22
    You most likely have a loose connector, (check tightness of pins) or wire rubbing on something. Not an easy diagnosis from here.
    Perform wiggle test of engine wire harness.

    Sounds like a connector issue--clean connections, spray with WD-40, and reassemble.
