If she seems to be reacting to this, then a trip to the vet is a good idea. If for nothing else, at least to ease your mind.

I'm not a vet, but I've had dogs and other animals all my life, and I've worked in shelters and with vets. I've had dogs eat boxes of chocolates and chicken bones. I've been there and done it all. I've never lost a dog to any of these hazards.

Having said that, I've also never had a dog that experienced any symptoms after eating the box of chocolates or the entire chicken carcass they took out of the garbage (little buggers) ;)

If you feel that your dog is off, not it's normal self, if it's vomiting, has diarrhea, bloody stool, lethargy, or any other abnormal symptoms, then by all means go to a vet. Chocolate can be deadly, but most times the dog handles this "poison" fairly well. But, it depends on the dog, the amount of chocolate, and the dogs overall health.

This really is your call. If you feel your dog is in danger, then it's vet time. Better to be safe than sorry.

Years ago, my 70 lb Rottweiler ate 2 of the Halloween size chocolate bars... Kit Kats I believe. Anyway, about 6 hours later she had bad diarrhea. About an hour after that, more. She was a little lethargic after that for a few hours, but then fine. I guess a judgement call on how your dog is acting on whether you should take her to the vet. (I am not a vet, I just have owned dogs for the past 25+ years.) Hope this helps.
