    401 sq ft need to be covered with 12in by 36in tile how many do I need

    A 12" x 36" tile is 3 square feet, 1 x 3 = 3.

    Divide 401 by 3 = 133.67.

    You will need a minimum of 134 tiles, plus extra for cuts, scrap etc.
