    Who is the artist signature in my oil painting?


    I was wondering if anybody knows who the artist of this painting is. I bought this oil on canvas painting over a year ago and I have it hanging on our wall. My friend thinks it was probably done in the early 1900's and is actually painted on linen he says and not canvas. The linen is stretched on a wood frame and mounted in a nice ornate frame. I can't find any dates or any other information on this. I haven't taken the painting out of the frame either. I hope the pictures and the artist signature will help. Thank you very much!
