Not very sure to exactly what you are asking. But if your question is that if you are logged in to an instant messenger and haven't logged out would others be able to access your email account?

The answer to that is, if your log-in has not timed out from the messenger then there is a chance that a person having access to the machine/computer on which you have logged in will be able to access your account and send emails too from it.

But as you say for a period of 3months, it all depends on whether you signed in and left the computer on for 3months then the login would expire after some time thus no one would able to access the account. In case for three months the setting of your computer was to sign in immediately after start up(that is turning the computer on) then yes, others can access your account provided that they have access to the particular computer.

Logging in to your account isn't the key. Access to your computer is. If someone is allowed to use your computer while you are logged into ANYTHING, then they can access whatever service you are logged into. Be it e-mail, instant messaging, banking, etc.

Access doesn't have to be in person. Someone could connect to your computer remotely through various methods.

If you used your cell phone to receive e-mail, then anyone with access to that device can read the e-mail on it. E-mail retrieved on a cell is usually not password protected. If the phone number was cancelled, the e-mail may still remain in the phone's memory.

    Simple question for you.
Has this actually happened or are you panicking over what could, possibly, maybe happen on a blue moon in February the 30th..

    Quite simple.
Based on your earlier questions you have a tendency to panic about things that haven't actually happened, and if they could happen the chances are so remote to be impossible.

So I ask again, has this actually happened to you?
Has some accessed you phone based e-mail?!

If not, quite worrying about something you have zero control over.
