    Does welfare pay your rent?
    If you are unable to pay past rent and owe back rent applying for welfare assistance. Does welfare pay your rent to live at current residence?

    There is no way to answer that. It depends on where you live, how much assistance you qualify for, what your rent is etc.

    They may or they may require you move to less expensive lodgings.
