    What wire gage
Running 130 ft to a home hobby shop (1 person). Will be powering a table saw (1hp), drill press (1/2hp), air compressor (1hp), jointer (1hp), miter saw (1/2hp), various hand tools.

Plan on running single phase but nees to make sure I've got the power and amps to run the equipment w/o ruining them.

Personally, I would instal direct buried #2 - 4 wire URD cable, which is aluminum.

Can be sleeve with conduit if soil conditions are rocky.

#2 Al is good for 90 amps, plus will help with voltage drop for your loads.

    BikerDuke,
Are you attempting to keep cost to the minimum or would
You entertain say... a 60 amp subpanel?
You could run just one or two receptacles (each on a dedicated circuit) and just swap plugs when you need to.

If this is a voltage drop question based on the largest load at 120 Volts, it would be the 1 hp compressor.
At 130 feet and #10 awg wire the voltage drop is about 5%, with #8 the drop is 3%. The electrical code recommends 3% max for branch circuits.
