    Water well reserve tank?
Moved last year to Alabama country and have a well and reserve tank in the front yard. My wife doesn't like to look at the tank in the front and I need to know about how far I can move the tank away from the well without having any unforseen problems. Would like to move it to the side of the house 100 to 150 feet away from the pump. Thanks.

If you are talking about the pressure tank, then moving it would be no problem. You would want to be sure that you move the switch also, and that could be a problem with the electrical side, but not a big one.

If you are talking about a holding tank of some sort, then I would not think that would be a problem either. Just once again consider the electrical switch if one is involved.

I opt for the pressure tank. This is a closed galvanized tank isn't it. Jlisenbe gave you good advice. You also have options. If wifey \thinks the old tank is too unsightly you can junk it and install a smaller bladder tank. Good luck, Tom
