    Goth- what's wrong with it
Hey I was wondering about this question- Why does it matter if someone is gothic? Huh? I am a goth and people make fun of me for who I am. Would it be fair to say what I want to say to them even though it isn't nice? Me and almost all of my exes were goth, my best friends are goth. My mom says its all a bad influence- My MOM judges me being goth. I have to ty and do all sorts of stuff just to get any goth crap. My mom says she don't give a s**t what I get as long as I don't waste their money. Isthat right- that my mom won't let me be me and express myself? Or is it fair because she is my mom, or unfair because it isn't me?

Get used to it, you will be judged by your actions your entire life. If you want to be goth as a adult, don't expect to get a job at the bank, as a police officer and so on.
Unless you just dress and act that way on days and time off.

Next guess what mom pays the bills it sounds like and she has the right to require you to dress to her standards, that is being a kid. When you are in the working world, you will have to act and dress according to work standards. You never really have your own say in all ways.

We were laughed at and talked about because of our long hair and beads and pasley clothes in the 60s and 70's, we are talked about because we talked about equal rights of races and like to have free sex and smoke pot. We were not given jobs, not allowed into stores to shop and more

Most of us today are Republicans who are bald and will talk about you being goth ( life comes full circle.(

There's nothing wrong with being a goth. I went through so many phases. I had a goth one at age 14-15! Your mother is only worried. Just communicate with her and tell her why you like being a goth. Put her mind at ease that you're not going to do anything bad. When I was a bit gothic, I wanted to dye my hair black (I have lovely long blonde hair). My parents told me I had to wait until I was 18, as I'd regret it. I'm glad they didn't allow me, as it'd have ruined my hair! They're only looking out for us.

People only make fun as you're different. They see it as something to pick on. Ignore it and be happy with who you are, someone that doesn't have to conform to impress!
