    Montana statute of limitation for open account collection
    If the 5 year statute runs out on a judgement in Montana can the collection agency come in after the fact and renew the judgement?

    If they already have a judgement, then the SOL does not apply. Once they have a judgement, they may renew it. With a judgement, they may collect for 20 plus years if they keep renewing the judgement.
