    What was the pay for part time christmas employees for the post office in 1963?
    My wife is in a writing class and is writing a short story about her first job and doesn't remember what she was paid.

    I don't know for certain, but the minimum wage in 1963 was $1.25/hour (see: Federal Minimum Wage Rates, 1955?2011 — Infoplease.com ), so she probably was paid around that amount as a temp employee.
