Hello, If I was to send you a copy of a passport would you be able to tell me if it is authentic or not.

I'm sure you can post it, but chances are it's probably not authentic, if said person who showed you their passport needs xx amount of money for a medical or a visa..

No that is not what I asked. Maybe I need to go a different way, is there anyway of telling if a passport is authentic or not. Can you lead me in a direction of getting it checked out. No money for medical or visa just want to check its authenticity. Would the Ghana consulate be able to help do you think.

Are you aware of the incredible amount of these types of scams coming out of Ghana?

No, there is no way to verify it from a photo. And no the Ghana Consulate most likely will not help since they get about 1000 to 2000 complaints a day for dating fraud from people in Ghana.

Next even if the passport is valid, you have no idea if the person showing it, is really that person, ( photo been photoshop for email) Often they hire one or two girls, who use their photos, they may be paid to act on web cam. But the people actually sending emails are grandma or old men, who work in large rooms with dozens of people sending emails all day, every day.

Tell us what is happening, the fact you ask, means you have some doubts?
If it is real and they get a Visa from the country they are going to enter, and they show up it was real, if they start asking for money ( and I can give you the 4 or 5 common scams) but the min they ask for money it is not real.
