I watched this movie twice back when I was in elementary school in music class, but I can only remember the beginning.

It begins with little girl coming home from school telling her grandmother and her aunt, I think, that she had a bad day at school. I think it had something to do with dancing and that the little girl tripped during class making her the laughing stock of the day.To cheer her up the girl's grandmother gives her a dress, a purple dress and fairy wings I believe, that she used to wear as a child and tells her granddaughter about when she used to be a dancer and gives her a flyer of the play she performed in. While admiring the dress in the mirror she suddenly finds herself back in time when her grandmother was a young woman. The grandmother and the aunt don't notice the girl is gone because they're in the kitchen having tea and crumpets while the grandmother relives her story about the play and the young handsome director.

The little girl sees the flyer the exact flyer her grandmother gave her and she rushes off to the theatre. When there the little girl watches rehearsals and discovers that no one can sees her except for the director, like the movie,chimneys of green knowe. However the director doesn't realise that the little girl is a phantom of time and his coworkers keep wondering who he's talking to. The little girl watches from the sidelines as her grandmother bursts into the theatre interrupting a singer and not making a good first impression but makes up for it for her beautiful dancing skills. I'm not sure what happens after that but the antagonist causes problems within the theatre, the first problem had something to do with the singers. And since no one can see the little girl except for the director, she warns him. But after that I know nothing.

I just want to know the title of the movie so I can learn about what happened to the little girl and the director. The little girl looks similar to Gennie James in the Secret Garden, but I don't think it's the same actress.
