    Electrical Outlets in Home
:( Help... All the electrical outlets on the left side of my home stopped working after using the vacuum in one of those outlets. Everything on that side stopped while vacuuming. I checked the breaker box and all looks fine, Which should be my next steps. My home is a little over a year old. I appreciate your response ASAP.

    Thanks a bunch:)

The problem is probably a loose connection at a receptacle, and possibly at the last working outlet on the circuit. Since the home is new, the wire connection at all the outlets are probably the push in style, or called Stab in the Back, these types of connections are popular for loosening.

The best kind of connection is wrapping the wire around a screw.

The outlets need to be pulled out to look for this loose connection. Shut off the circuit breaker, pull out one outlet at a time, check the connections, a loose one will allow the wire to be easily pulled out of the back of the outlet. Turn on the breaker after checking each outlet before starting the process over until the problem is found.

You might also try turning the breaker off and then on. Sometimes it is hard to tell by looking whether a breaker has tripped.
