    Primary parent in gorgia
    My ex husband has primary custody and now I have the children what do I need for primary custody in Georgia... He lives 5 hrs away now...

    You need to go through the courts to establish yourself as the primary caregiver. At that time of the custody change visitation can be made and planned for. Also you should apply through the courts for child support if you have not done so already. By going through the system and establishing the legal end of it then you have a much better chance of enforcing it.

    And remember you still owe child support even though the children are living with you, till you go back to court and get custody and child support changed, he still have legal custody and you still owe him child support.

    So you file a motion to change custody and to change child support, In GA you will need to file a new parenting plan. He will need to include a visitation order
