How Can I Stop the Link
We bought a new Dishwasher and they came to install it but would not because there is a link in the turn off value under my sink. They said once we get it fixed they would come back. So my question is, Is there a simple way that I can fix the link on the turn off value with having to pay someone to do it. I am not a handy man, but I was told it was quiet simple to do.

You are going to have to give more details. When you say leak, do you mean water still coming out when it is shut off, or leaking around the handle. How hard the valve is to replace will depend on what kind of pipe and how it is fastened. Some valves, all you have to to is shut the main water off, unscrew it and screw in a new one. If it is soldered into a copper line it is still easy for somebody with a torch and experience using it. You still have alternatives in that case. Post back.

Please explain "link". I have a hunch you mean leak? If so, tell us exactly where the leak's at. If it's from around the stem open the valve until the leak starts and snug up the bonnet packing nut,( the nut on the stem) until the leak stops. Do not overtighten. If it's something else click on back with more details. Good luck, Tom
