Can BV cause a woman to have a light menstrual cycle?
I'm asking because, over the last week and a half, I believe I have all of the symptoms of BV, and now the itching! I came on my mentrual cycle yesterday (a week early) and it was very scant... only showing up on the toilet paper and brown discharge on the pad... very little though. I'm going to go to the ob gyn when my period is over. I'm wondering if it's implantation bleeding... or could the infection be causing my period to be light?

Can someone explain to me the difference between these? I am trying to write a lab report and have no idea what I'm writing about.
My daughter turned 14 in feb 2007. In march 2007 she got her very first period. It was a pretty heavy one and she has not had another period since! It is now sept (6 months later!) Should I be concerned or be patient and just let nature take its course?
