Hey guys, I need some help. I've been a regular pot smoker for the past 4 years. I would usually smoke about 2-3x a week, and during vacations more than that. I also have long dread locs. The problem is, I am graduating in May and I might be working for the dream of my career. Since I've learned the companies drug testing policies I eased up on smoking weed, but I did take a few puffs during the Christmas break (1 month ago) and have taken a few more hits this month; in fact I just took 4 hits last night. To ease off weed I've been smoking spice and it has kept my mind off it, while I am trying to stop smoking completely. The point of the matter is, the company that I hope to be employed with do hair samples of 6 months prior. I've thoughy about stalling employment there until the 6 month times frame, but don't want to push them away. And I've also decided to purchase some cleansing shampoo, and wash my hair every week or more until the date comes to have my test. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little paranoid, and need some advice from the experts. Thanks

Given the history you provided there is a high likelihood that cannabinoids would be detected. It's unusual to test 6 months (3 in) as reliability declines... but possible in theory.

There are numerous factors that influence hair testing but the main factor is how often smoked and efficiency of smoking. Those usually go hand in hand.
