    USA,Atlanta on H1B -Tax calculation
    Hi ,

    I will be going to Atlanta, GA ,USA on H1B .My wife is with me.
    So how much tax will be deducted from salary ,assume if it is $61K.

    Deduction depends upon what you claim on your W4 that you fill and give to your employer. You will be paying FICA taxes, federal income tax and state income tax.
    On W4 you can claim married with two allowances.

    The FICA (Social Security @ 4.2% and Medicare @ 1.45%) taxes are flat taxes withheld at the rates noted.

    My wife is on H4 and she will be house maker there , I wanted to know all tax details before moving so would be helpful .I just got W4 form from Airborne Team , I don't know that how much impact will be on my salary. It would be great if you share some details how much money would be take home if I am getting $61K.
