How to hang a ceiling fan with no junction box in the ceiling?
Is there any way to put up a ceiling fan with light kit if there is not an already existing light in the ceiling of the room?

The simplest way is to mount a fan rated box to a building structural member and then run a surface feeder from an outlet box. However, looks a bit tacky but if looks are not important it's easy. Must be a box RATED for a fan,not just a ceiling box.
