    Don't know if this is the case here. But a lot of newer fans now have globes that basiclly screw on. Sometimes they are snugged up so tight it can be tough to get them freed. Plus not sure if you would turn it clockwise or ccw, seen them go on both ways. Hope this helps.

    Most of the newer globe type covers are a lock tab type. Carefully push up on the globe and twist ccw
