I'm about to purchase a used Weldanpower 225. It was the model prior to the Lincoln Ranger 8 and is powered by a single cylinder 16 hp Briggs and Stratton gasoline engine. Does anyone know anything about this particular model welder... the goods... the bads... etc. Should I buy it or shy away...

My buddy gave me an old G8000 and under the cover I have three wires that I don't know where they go , all three come out of the altenater , two short fat ones and a long thinner one with a open end loop term. the others have eye term. the two short ones look like they might ground to the reactor...

I am looking for a rotor (armature) for this machine which I picked up at an auction. The engine runs good but I am not able too get any voltage from the output terminals, Checked armature with meg meter it checked out bad.If I am unable to find an armature Machine will be sold for parts.
