Using a 250v/50 hertz light set in a 120v/60 hertz socket
I received a xmas gift from Germany that has 10 mini bulbs. The plug is marked 250v/50 hertz.
Can this be used in a 120v/60 hertz outlet using an adapter?

You can try it, but 120 volts will not operate a 250 volt device, You may need to find a travel kit, which will have a transformer and a plug adapter.
