    Honeywell he260a problem
Hi. I have installed the above mentioned humidifier and here is the problem. I believe every thing is wired right.. the solenoid opens and water flows and this happens when the blower starts, like it is supposed to. The problem is,no matter what I set the humidistat at,the solenoid opens and water flows only 1-3 seconds sometimes 3 or 4 secs. And it does it like every 5-10 seconds with no excess water coming out of the drain tube obviously. Now, if I lift the cover of the humidifier and the air blows out instead of into the bypass duct or if I close the flap in the bypass duct , solenoid stays open longer, more water dispensed and solenoid doesn't open and close every 3-4 secs.Humidifier is mounted on warm air supply side.
Humidistat mounted 1 foot above bypass duct on the return side. Thanks for your help.
