Are you breastfeeding? It sounds as though you might be constipated. If you have your 6 week check-up set, or even if you don't, you can speak to your doctor about what they suggest. You will likely get the OK to start some regular exercise which can be helpful. Sometimes it may be simply to increase your fluid intake throughout the day, along with increasing your fiber intake. Prunes, or prune juice, is usually a helpful remedy as well.

You are likely continuing with the prenatals, correct? You may find switching to one, or a multivitamin, with less iron helps. Sometimes the iron level will cause women to experience constipation. You could try increasing your fluid intake, the prune juice, etc. first and see if that helps while you continue on the prenatal.

It is unlikely a small increase would be the cause. It can be common during pregnancy and afterwards for a time. With a c-section it can take a bit more time since you are generally less active after birth.

When you start to increase your fiber intake, do so slowly along with increasing your water intake.

Your doctor will likely suggest similar methods and possibly something like Metamucil.
