    Stop smoking before cyst removal surgery
    My cyst removal surgery is next Friday and I just stopped smoking since today. It is going to be fine or should I let my doctor knows? The cyst is 11.4 cm. When doctor asked me if I smoke, I said no. Please let me know what to do. Thanks

    You should not have lied to the doctor. The questions they ask are pertinent to your surgery. You must tell him the truth. It doesn't matter that you just stopped, the effects of you smoking are still in your body.

My sister in law went to the doc for irregular(sometimes 2 times a month)periods.The doc told her she had ovarian cysts and had to get them removed.They didn't do a biopsy they are just removing the cysts,aoing a DnC,and removing her lymph nodes.Why remove the lymph nodes?
