Spotting and bleeding what could this mean!

I have been spotting brown blood for the past 3 months it happens a week before my period starts but isn't bad Yesterday it happen again and then today I was bleeding really badd I don't kniw if it could be my period considering that just ended a week ago! I don't know what is wrong can someone tell me!
