    Lower water pressure,after leak repair
    Had leak in 1" water service to house,had repair made,tech dug up line replaced cracked section with smaller dimension pipe approx 2',does this effect my water pressure.

    Does not affect your pressure but it will affect your volume. I know it seems like pressure to you but reduced volume is the issue. The pipe should not have been reduced in size. Put a pressure gauge on your outside spigot and measure the pressure, should be at least 40 psi, then open a major valve like a tub or shower and see what happens to the psi.

    Your pressure loss will be minuscule, however, volume will be compromised. Smaller diameter= more psi, less volume. Larger diameter= more volume, less psi.
