    Car park reverse accident
My husband's 4weel (with canopy without cover) was reversing two third of (from car park) then bumped behind coming out reversing 4weel (parked). I think what happened is that since my husband's canopy haven't got a cover it is low and may be behind 4weel driver didn't see reversing my husband's car. According to her when she realized reversing car behind, she stopped but my husband's car was keep reversing and hit (my husband was concentrating side mirror at the time) I asked why she would reverse there is already reversing car behind, she said she stopped since she saw the reversing car but my husband didn't so it is his fault.
But my husband's car is already two third out if she saw why would she reverse. With this accident her rightside rear light was damaged and small didn't. Who is at fault?

He was backing up, she was backing up too, right? Are you saying she stopped, but he failed to see her and continued moving, until he hit her vehicle? It appears to be his fault, if she was stopped when he hit her.

I am having trouble understanding some of what you are saying, although I don't know how critical it is. What do you mean by, for example:
    • "4 wheel"? A 4-wheel drive vehicle?
    • "reversing two third"
    ?

I'm having difficulty understanding what you are saying BUT if she saw your husband stopped to avoid an accident HE should have stopped to avoid an accident. It sounds like he backed into her when she was stopped.

Why she did or didn't pull out is immaterial. Your husband was backing up in an unsafe fashion.

If the vehicle he was driving has obstructed views - is that you are saying? - due to the top or anything else he is even more at fault because he has a higher standard of care. If you are aware other people have difficulty seeing your vehicle OR if your views are blocked you need to be more careful.

Sorry for the confusion, English is my second language. Yes, it is a 4-weel drive. 'Two-third' means he started reversing farther than the other car (he started reverse before she did). Isn't it make sense if you see the behind of your car is reversing you don't start to reverse?

The probable answer here is one or both drivers did not exercise due caution so did not see the other driver.

Reminds me of an accident I witnessed a few years ago. I had just turned into the lane of a parking lot and saw two cars, parked on opposite dies of the lane start to back out at the same time. I started beeping my horn to warn them. One car stopped, the other didn't and bumped the other car. The car that stopped was driven by a young girl and she was very upset. So I gave her my name and number as a witness. I received calls from both her insurance carrier and the other driver's. I told them that she definitely stopped and he kept backing out. He sustained the only damage so his carrier was responsible.
