    It's hard to dye over hair that dark, but I've had good results with Feria by L'Oreal. Their Chocolate Cherry gives a nice purple-red that will fade to auburn (this is the only shade I have experience with using), but they offer several other shades as well that would offer a more natural red. Reds fade quickly, so I'd purchase a high-end shampoo/conditioner combo to help maintain color. If you want a brighter, truer burgundy, you may need to lighten your hair first. When all else fails, ask your stylist what they'd do! :)
