    Unknown book title
A star college athlete, returning from a party ( drinking and such ) driving a sports car drives in front of an oncoming train. The accident causes the man to lose his leg from the hip socket down. The once pro-football headed star, becomes a ward of the government. After a short time, the young man stops feeling sorry for himself and decides to become employed and self-supporting. The problem is that the government will not allow him to do so. The doctors, and counselor's all say he isn't ready yet... The cover of this book had a picture of a very fit looking man standing on only one leg, very straight, but behind the man was an angel that seemed to be supplying the missing leg for the man. The name Raphael keeps coming into my mind. Ricthefig
