Camping resort question
I am wondering about laws or action you can take against a resort that rents out camping spaces. The night before we had a party and made a lot of noise because we were almost 20 people. All aged and recognized as adults this is the rate we paid. The next morning to be awaken by the security manager yelling and pulling on our and tents and screaming at us to take our stuff and leave or he will get tractors and have our stuff pulled out and threating if we are not quick enough they won't be gentle. No official warning had been issued and we were treated like children because we were all between the ages of 20 - 22. We were given a speech about how we were acting like "Meide" witch in South Africa is referred to as a black women and when trying to reason the man just kept on screaming. I just feel after an apology by us and a promise to be quiet it is no way for a client to be handled by such an establishment, we admitted to being wrong but still deserved to be treated like people? I feel we have just as much a right to be there than other people, we paid just the same? He said he could do this because this was private property is this true? I am studying law and was just wondering what your take on this would be?

A private company can refuse service. ( they can not for a protected right )
But you should have been most likely kicked out when you were making the noise, but my guess manager was not on duty, so when he came in other campers complained about you.
Could he have done it better, merely demanded you leave without yelling ? Yes. My guess there was yelling on your side also.

No yelling on our side because I knew we were wrong just apologized. Its just the manner and the racist remarks that really offended a lot of us, especially in a county that's still very touchy after apartheid and the way it was handled. And as an aspiring lawyer (first year in university) just wondered about these kind of laws. Thanks for comment

I don't know the laws in South Africa, but every campsite I've ever been in has a stated quiet time. Generally this is from 10PM TO 6AM. This is usually listed prominently when you check in or included in the paperwork.
Also camping tends to be a family activity with young children. Campers tend to go to sleep earlier than in a hotel.
So it doesn't surprise me that the manager got very upset. He probably got a lot of complaints from regular customers.
Now that doesn't excuse the racist comment. But, as noted, any business has a right to refuse service when you violate the rules of the enterprise.

Hello s:
While I agree with my friends, you should have been ejected WHEN the problem occurred. Since it didn't, I believe they LOST their right to evict you. I don't believe you should have been thrown out the following morning.

I'm taking my family camping this week. We go several times a year, and everyone loves it. I'm trying to get some ideas for some cool things to do with our boys (4&7), like different meals to cook, and activities to do. We go hiking, swimming, and the usual, but does anyone have any unique ideas?...

There's this old movie, it starts with a bunch of kids going out on a camp trip with their advisor. At the end of the movie, you find out the advisor is the son of this crazy woods woman and the movies ends with her getting impailed by this huge log with spikes all over it. Any idea?
