    Stopping "shower shock"
    We are redoing a shower and have exposed the water pipes in the process. Prior to the project it was common to be scalded while showering if someone in the same room turned on a faucet at the sink, or heaven forbid , flushed the toilet. I want to stop this problem. I have been told a variety of things: including the new shower controls now have pressure monitors in them to guard against the shower shock. Is that true? (I am not interested in a separate temp or pressure control with knobs in the shower wall)

    Yes, it is true and a new Moen amongst others have temperature controls built in to them. I have one and say "Good By" to over hot water when somebody else flushes the toilet.
