Spotting instead of period, not pregnant, not on pill

I wasn't feeling well for 7 month - got a herbicide poisoning, my periods got very light during this time. Now I started feeling better this month and expected my period to go back to normal, but all I got was a very slight spotting! Will my periods go back to normal, I'm not on birth control of any kind, haven't had intercourse
