--All insurances, for the job (gen liability,. ) & employees (worker's comp, unemplymnt, disabil, medical,. )
--All GC/owner tax liab for employees
--if labor is a separate line item being charged, all labor of non job related employees (acctg staff, legal exp for contract write up, job supervision,. ) if labor is not a separate line item, that is included here.
--clean up expense on a daily basis, which would include materials used.
--protection of job site (which would include materials used.)

I am sure I probably missed something.
Depending on the project, it can be a number of things.

If you are a client that is asking this question, usually the rule of thumb on charges is the cost quoted plus 10% labor and 10% overhead, cleanup & protection.

If you are trying to properly figure out what to book in the system and attribute to client, you must look at all items in g/l that are costing the company money, take a percentage of those costs and apply across the board to all jobs.

If you have a specific concern, please post here and I will try to help you further. :)

I am doing a cost certification at the end of the project and it has been a few years since I have done a construction certification. The client has water and sewer bills plus electric bills he wants put on the certification but for the life of me I couldn't recall the catergory it fell under and I don't have utilities as a category.

    Thanks

Yep. You have the right category, general conditions. It may have been a while, but sounds like you are using the old noggin'!

And, you are quite welcome. Good Luck! :)
