    Jumpere wire
    I am trying to install a Tx500E thermostat (heat only) Do I need the jumper wire and why is the fan and heat display flashing

    No u don`t need jumper
    Not there to figure why flashing,, try turning off the breaker to furnace for a minute and turn back on, see if that helps
