    Can I replace 1980's track heads with new track heads?
    I just bought a house built in the 1980's and it has track lighting everywhere. I counted 15 track heads I would like to switch out with new contemporary track heads. Are the new ones compatible with the old track?

    Usually yes, provided they are the same brand.

I have purchased low voltage track lighting heads that have individual electronic transformes for MR 16 halogen 50W bulbs. Can I place MR 16 9W LED bulbs instead even though magnetic transformers are recommended? Thanks in advance
