I Used E/Check for bill pay-
WHen I tried to make a payment for my phone bill,I did so online, using bill pay.I tried to pay 196_and change, and wrongly entered $1,939.00 and thought I had corrected the amount, but directly decided to make the second payment.. and make it even $200.00,Both payments authorized and now are posted as credit to my phone bill.THe bank did not debit either amount, but did charge over draft charge.Once the biller authorized/s the payment... and it is posted , can I legally keep the credit amount for use... and leave it as it lays... or receive that credit?

Sorry, I am not sure exactly what you are asking,

You paid your phone bill twice, one time for 196 dollars and one time for 200 dollars, both payments if the bank authorised the over draft payment will be deducted from your bank account, So if this put you over your limit, And you will have a credit at the phone company, and it will just be a credit toward next months bills.

But don't expect it not to show out of your bank account and also be paid to the phone company, it may be only a book keeping issue till it is straightened out.

Often and I do mean very offten onmy online banking, some payments made are not taken off for a few days while they are pending, I have three that are not showing off, but I know they were paid by the bank on Friday, so they will show back up on Monday or Tuesday,
