Can't get clips on dryer top to disengage
I have a front load dryer, specifically a Frigedaire Model #GLEQ2152ES1. The dryer has developed a high-pitched squeal. After researching common problems and suggestions on this forum, I have purchased the rear bearing assembly kit. After disconnecting the power source, I have been attempting to disengage the spring clips under the top. I have used a putty knife and have attempted to push on these from all angles. They seem to be solid and aren't even budging. Can someone please assist me with this. There must be something simple I am overlooking. Thanks in advance.
