    Washing machine drained?
I moved my Washing machine from the garage to outside the patio so I install a new drain using 2" abs pipe connecting to existing 2" steel pipe after doing so we started smelling some type of urine smell in the room behind the bathroom so I checked under the house for leaks but OK. I was thinking the drained might be the problem since I only raised it 7 feet and didn't cut through the patio cover since its already out side. So we couldn't find where the smell was coming from. I keep looking for a trap and a vent but fail to find either one. If that steel pipe connects to the sewer you have located the source of your smell. Is the drain trapped and vented? Back to you, Tom

Did you create a stand pipe for the new connection, is it trapped? If not you will smell more than urine soon.
