    Value of paper money
I am not sure how to find information regarding the value of paper money and am not sure if the 3 bills I have should be considered valuable or sold or safeguarded or what. Any help would be appreciated.

1 - ten dollar note from the First national Bank of Port Lavaca. 1882 series with brown stamps. S5367 is marked on the bill. The front has a picture of 2 people on the left and an angel on the right. It appears to be signed by MeNoble and John Hevok. The back is mostly brown with 5367 on it.

2 - 5 dollar note from the First national Bank of houston. Series 1902 blue ink number S1644. Under the picture of Harrison there is a 3826 printed. The back is green and has 1902 and 1908 printed. The back appears to be a scene of a boat crossing water.

3 - One dollar bill series 1923. Says it is One Silver Dollar. Blue markings X53496620B.

All have been circulated but are is good condition. The 5 and the 10 have what appear to be 4 folds on them but are lightly creased. The 1 is in the worst condition as it has a few tears around the edges and the folds appear more significant.

Any help you can give me is appreciated.

This site appraises "old" paper money - there are many factors involved. Value of 1902 Five Dollar Bill | 1902 $5 Bill

I don' think you can get any real definitive nswer without taking your bills to an appraiser or buyer to find out what the market is on them.

Agreed - the best to be hoped for is a ballpark figure.
