Diimmer switch for CFL bulbs and fan
Just installed a ceiling fan w/CFL lights. The switch notes that it is only recommended for incandescent lighting. I would like to find a switch that will allow me to operate the fan (at various speeds) and a dimmer for the CFL bulbs.
I spoke to the retailer where I purchased the fan and they told me I would have to install two separate switches to get the job done. Is there a product on the market that would allow me to dim the CFL bulbs and control the speed of the fan?

    Thank you

There are dimmable CFL bulbs out there for sale. Just try looking for them. They are pricey but they exist.

A fan can use a dimmer but a dimmable CFL can be dimmed by a dimmer. Fans use something that may appear to be a dimmer to most folks but they are actually stepped switches, most frequently 3 steps. What brand/model fan did you buy? Does that store and/or company offer a universal remote? I'd definitely go that direction
